Newcomers Cooking Together (NCT) – Heart Healthy Edition
This six-week program will make your heart happy! Each week, with the help of the Registered Dietitian and community Peer Leaders, we will cook tasty recipes using ingredients proven to improve your cholesterol and/or blood pressure. The heart-healthy menu is inspired by the ingredients recommended by three scientifically-proven diets: The Mediterranean Diet, DASH Diet (Dietary Approaches to Stopping Hypertension), and The Portfolio Diet (for cholesterol). Come join us! Priority will be given to clients living with risk factors for heart disease.
