Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services (Access Alliance) is committed to protecting personal information by following responsible information-handling practices in keeping with privacy laws.

Access Alliance does not collect personal information from visitors who access and browse through our website. The only personal information captured through our website is the information that you volunteer, such as when you complete a survey, or when you give us your email address or a mailing address, so that we can send you requested information. We will not disclose or share this information for any other purposes. We do not install executable programs on a user’s system. 

The handling, retention, and destruction of users’ information is in compliance with data protection laws. Access Alliance retains user information for as long as it is necessary to provide services but will destroy the information when it is no longer needed or when requested by the user.

Our use of cookies

Access Alliance uses Google Analytics cookies. A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a website to the hard drive of your computer so that the website may identify separate visitors to the site and track users’ activities on the website. A cookie will not let a website know any personally identifiable information about you, such as your real name or address.

Access Alliance uses cookies only to keep track of how many people visit the Access Alliance website and how frequently each page is visited. This helps us understand how you interact with the information on our website and allows us to improve content and build better features to enhance your experience.

Links on our website

Our website provides links to other websites. Access Alliance assumes no responsibility for the information practices of sites you are able to access through our site. We encourage visitors to review each site’s privacy policy before disclosing any personally identifiable information.

Email list subscriptions

When you subscribe to an email list from Access Alliance, you need to supply your name and an email address. Access Alliance will not disclose, share or sell this information to any other mailing list subscriber, organization, website, or other third party.

If you do not wish to continue receiving emails from Access Alliance, you may opt out by unsubscribing from the email list through an unsubscribe link provided in all email list messages.

Online forms

We collect personal data when you complete an online application form in order to register with a program or event, or to make an application for a volunteer position, scholarship or other initiative. We may also request personal information required to satisfy legal, government, or regulatory obligations.

Information sharing

We do not sell the personal information we collect. We will not disclose your personal information to anyone else without your prior knowledge or consent, except when required by law.

Confidentiality and security

Access Alliance maintains physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards that are appropriate to the type of personal information we obtain from you. Access Alliance staff and volunteers who have access to personal data are required to respect the confidentiality of personal information and handle it responsibly.
