Children’s Music Program Volunteer – Barrington
Focus area: Newcomer Children and their Caregivers
Volunteer Position Description: The volunteer will assist the implementation of our “Children’s Music Program” once a month alongside a music therapist and Access Alliance staff.
Tasks:
- Set up and clean up program space
- Support program implementation logistics (e.g. attendance, refreshments, etc.)
- Ensure children and caregivers feel welcomes in the space
- Assist music therapist with session by ensuring participants
- Help Access Alliance staff with needed program related tasks
Location: 91 Barrington Ave. East York, ON M4C 4Y9
Time Commitment: Once a month for 2 hours.
From October 24th to November 14th 2024 10:30am-12:30pm
Format: In -Person
Qualification and Requirements:
- Experience working with children and caregivers
- Experience with newcomer communities
- Able to be flexible and work in quick pace environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Vulnerable Sector Check
