Please note, most of our volunteer work take place onsite in Toronto. The opportunity to volunteer online/remotely is very limited.

Working with hands or manual work - You like to work with your hands, and want to help in kitchens, and/or community gardens, and/or one of our bike repair shops

Community engagement and support - You like to interact with people, Mentor Youth, offer peer support to people who share similar backgrounds with you

Tutoring and child minding - You enjoy working with youth and/or young children, and/or like to help young families

Administration - you like to help with desk work such as data entry, research, compiling information, and/or helping people file their taxes.

Advocacy - you like to advocate for disadvantaged groups, organize your community to participate in social actions, conduct cause campaigns and/or fundraising

Events - you like to help in events, enjoy event planning, crowd managing, and/or plugging yourself in a station wherever you are needed at an event

Marketing and communications - you’d like to contribute your talent in creative writing, graphic design, video-making, and/or social media savviness

Public speaking and storytelling - you are willing to join our Speakers’ Bureau and share your stories with the public

Teaching and facilitation - you like to teach people a new skill, e.g. how to repair bikes, cook a specific dish, or use a computer app, and/or you can facilitate group learning and/or support in a workshop

Working with Seniors - you like to help seniors break isolation, accompany them to appointments, supporting with ongoing wellness checks, fitness and/or creative activities

As a volunteer, I acknowledge that the safety and health of the Access Alliance Community is our top priority. I support efforts to safeguard the health of clients, staff, students and volunteers by following recommended public health measures like washing my hands frequently, wearing a mask when required, following current vaccination protocol and staying home if I feel sick.
