- 1 Placement at Access Point on Danforth: (3079 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M1L 1A8)
- 1 Placement at Access Point on Jane: (761 Jane Street, 2nd Floor, Toronto, ON M6N 4B4)
- May be required to work at any of Access Alliance service sites
Work Schedule for Placement at Access Point on Danforth:
- Monday 9:00am- 5:00pm
- Tuesday 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Wednesday 9:00 am- 5:00 pm
Kindly note that shifts are available for the three days, if 2 days only, scheduling options are: Mondays and Tuesdays OR Mondays and Wednesdays. Please select one of the two scheduling options.

- Monday 9:00am- 5:00pm
- Tuesday 9:00 am- 5:00 pm
- Thursday 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm

- The student will work in an office setting with assigned workspace and computer
- Student needs to be fully vaccinated, pass a criminal reference check and vulnerable sector check.
Brief Description of the placement:
Newcomer Youth Programs at Access Alliance provide settlement services, group programming, health promotion, primary health care and volunteer support to immigrant and refugee youth and their communities, age 13 to 24, living in Toronto, with a particular focus on those living in the Syme-Woolner (west Toronto) and Crescent Town/Teesdale (east Toronto) neighborhoods. The Newcomer Youth Program is intended to serve newcomer youth, and provide them a space to engage with community and improve varying skills.
Youth Program assistant is needed to ensure programs run smoothly and youth are able to connect with trusted adults in their community. The student will be assisting the youth team in planning and developing of programs to support the newcomer youth and their families. The student will support day to day operations including outreach initiatives, and community/youth/volunteer engagement.

Qualifications/Competencies Required:
- Second, Third, Fourth year Graduate student from Community Development, Social Service, or relevant field
- Willing to work with various newcomer youth programs and support as needed
- Willing to travel to various field trip locations with the youth team depending on the program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work with low-income, multi-lingual/racial communities
