About Access Alliance:
Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services is a multi-service community agency that works to improve health outcomes for the most vulnerable immigrants, refugees, and their communities. We do this by facilitating access to services and addressing systemic inequities. The Centre envisions a future in which Toronto’s diverse communities achieve health with dignity.
Position Title: Program intern- Community Services Programs
Placement Type: In-person

3079 Danforth Ave.
Toronto, ON M1L 1A8
- The student will work in an office setting with assigned workspace and computer
- Student needs to be flexible to support various Community Services Programs
Brief Description of Practicum Project: Work with CSP Worker – community programs to support day to day program operations, lead activities, develop program to support community members, conduct outreach, work with volunteers and assist with program evaluation.
Learning Outcomes/Goals:
• Knowledge of community development
• Gain knowledge of working in a community with high needs, low income, multi-lingual and multi-racial
• Program development and implementation
• Volunteer engagement
• Group facilitation
• Outreach
Qualifications/Competencies Required:
• Second or third year student from Community Development, Social Service or relevant field of studies
• Willing to work with in various programs and support as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work with low income, multi-lingual/racial communities
• Flexible and willing to take on new challenges
Benefits to the Student:
