Short Description: Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services (AAMHCS) is a Community Health Centre that aims to provide services and addresses system inequities to improve health outcomes for the most vulnerable immigrants, refugees, and their communities. The Centre envisions a future in which Toronto’s diverse communities achieve health with dignity. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Peer Community Outreach Worker aims to provide increased supports to newcomer families by providing information, outreach and referral of internal and external community resources. The Peer Worker provides language appropriate and culturally sensitive support to newcomer families. This position works both independently and collaboratively with staff, community partners, volunteers and clients. |

Duration: Project /24 months Salary: $18.48– 23.46/ Hourly Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week Bargaining Unit position: United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 175 Classification: Peer Outreach Worker Access Alliance offers comprehensive group benefits coverage, annual vacation entitlement, cumulative sick leave entitlement, employee assistance programs.
