Holiday Hamper Drivers

Volunteer Position Description: 

Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services works to promote health and well-being and improve access to services for immigrants and refugees in Toronto by addressing medical, social, economic and environmental issues. We envision a future in which diverse individuals, families and communities can achieve health with dignity.

Access Alliance’s Holiday Hampers Initiative has been providing essential and gifts items to our neighbours for more than 20 years.  Our initiative is unique because it not only meets the needs of low income families with children of all ages but also, newcomers, seniors and youth.

Volunteers will deliver Holiday Hamper packages for our newcomer and low income families living in the Taylor Massey, Secord, Lumsden, Crescent Town and Oakridge neighbourhoods during the 2021 Holiday Season.

Tasks: 

Pick up and deliver Holiday Hamper packages for our newcomer and low income families living in the Taylor Massey, Secord, Lumsden, Crescent Town and Oakridge neighbourhoods on December 17th 2021.

AccessPoint on Danforth 
3079 Danforth Ave.
Scarborough ON M1L 1A8

Time Commitment: 

  • Attend 1 hour training session with the Holiday Hamper Program Coordinator (Zoom Meeting)
  • Attend 1 hour orientation with the Volunteer Coordinator (Zoom meeting) 
  • Delivery Date: Friday December 17th, 2021

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Valid Driver’s License (G2 or G) with insurance.
  • Organizational and prioritizing skills;
  • Attention to detail is imperative
  • Demonstrated high energy level and flexibility, pleasant persona coupled with sound judgement; flexible
  • Discreet and able to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to communicate in a second language an asset
  • Excellent Communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills
