Expressive Arts Program
Expressive arts is a client-centered, arts-based, community-oriented program that works with the immigrant and refugee women to address issues of safety both at home and in the larger community, and to reduce social isolation by bringing newcomer women together to counteract the isolation in their own communities. It is grounded in the natural capacity of the arts (visual art, sculpture, movement, and sound, and theatre, poetry) to respond to individual and group needs. It uses these disciplines to explore, deepen and heal relationships with self, others and community.
