Immigration Status and Health Security of Non-Status Immigrants in Toronto
This pilot study explored the experiences of non-status immigrants and the impact of these experiences on health and well being. The research looked at how the situation of being without status influences access to health care, and the extent to which it affects immigrants' well being and social integration.
Improving Access to Community Services for Non-Status Immigrants
Access Alliance participated in the steering committee for this project which resulted in the creation of an on-line guide to community and health services in Toronto for people without immigration status. The lead organizations in this project were the Davenport Perth Neighbourhood Centre and the Community Social Planning Council of Toronto.
