On Jan 3, 2012, Access Alliance Language Services launched Remote Interpretation Ontario (RIO). Remote Interpretation Ontario provides high quality, immediate, over-the-phone interpretation that is delivered affordably through a consortium of non-for-profit interpreting agencies and will be resourced with highly qualified and trained interpreters as clients and partners have come to expect from Access Alliance Language Services (AALS) in our face-to-face and scheduled phone interpretation encounters.
We have also developed a strategic alliance with Language Line Services, to supply additional languages and to cover any overflow that we have in our language portfolio. Language Line Services® is the largest over-the-phone interpretation provider in North America, with a network of professionally tested, trained, and monitored interpreters. Together, RIO and Language Line will be able to offer 175 languages, almost immediately, within minutes, if not seconds, over-the-phone, 24 hours, 7 days a week, by highly qualified and trained interpreters. The rollover to Language Line will be automatic and seamless with RIO and will be at no additional cost to our clients and partners.
RIO launched with Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Farsi, Dari, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic and other languages will be supplemented through our buying consortium with Language Line Services that will ensure favourable, affordable rates. Together, RIO and Language Line will be able to provide you access to over 175 languages.
